Naturally rendered and preservative free, tallow is a rich source of vitamins A, D, E, and K as well as antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Vitamin E in particular is incredibly beneficial for the whole body and skin. It’s the pure, unadulterated goodness left behind after patiently simmering suet (the fatty tissue around the cow’s kidneys and liver) until it separates into liquid and solid components.

• The liquid is clarified to remove impurities and water, resulting in the clean, white, nutrient-packed tallow that we love. At room temperature, beef tallow is solid.

• Beef tallow is rich in fatty acids that play vital roles in your body. Generally, tallow derived form organic, grass-fed, and grass-finished cattle tends to be higher in healthy fats and nutrients. 

• Specifically, beef tallow contains 4% polyunsaturated fats, 42% monounsaturated fat, and 50% saturated fat. It also includes essential vitamins such as niacin, D, A, K, and E. 

• The extraction of beef tallow occurs through either a wet or dry rendering process. The resulting edible beef tallow can be either white or yellowish in color.
